Vice President, Private Equity

My client is an international private equity firm who invest and operate in Africa. They are incredibly successful and currently need a Vice President to assist them with their investments in Africa.
As Vice President you would join the Portfolio team to work with existing and future investee businesses across strategic, commercial, and transformational initiatives.
With frequent travel to the African continent this individual will have an integral role within the fund and have the ability to take on more responsibility as their career continues.
The initial salary will be £100,000 + a discretionary bonus (up to 100%) per annum. This will be reviewed along with internally promotions in accordance with company policy.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
• • Either 5-7 years’ experience gained in a top tier consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain or BCG) or will be in industry with a top tier consultancy background
• • An MBA from a leading institution would be beneficial, but not essential
• • Fluency in French language (written and spoken) is essential and Arabic would be an additional language that is nice to have
• • A proven interest and commitment to the African continent is advantageous
• • Is a team player with high levels of emotional intelligence and a willingness to be ‘hands-on’
• • Clear and well-researched motivations for moving into a PE fund
• • Flexibility to work internationally with significant time spent on the African continent
• • A spike in Digital, and all its multifaceted subsidiary areas is advantageous
