I’m currently recruiting for a commercial banking organisation who operate across the African continent. They are hugely successful organisation.

My client is seeking to recruit a Head of Human Resources, a key position for the organisation and a role heading up the HR function. Reporting to the CEO and to the Group HR Director this role requires a credible HR professional who is able to operate in both on a strategic and operational capacity to deliver the HR Operations and support the business.

 

  • Responsible for development and execution of HR strategy and People Plans in order to support the business goals and strategic priorities
  • Translate key data into an effective and commercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action
  • Develops strong relationships across the business and is able to interact at all levels
  • Challenge senior stakeholders/colleagues where appropriate and suggest alternative paths
  • Responsible for supporting organisational design reviews and implementation in order to meet needs of the business
  • Responsible for delivery or to broker services that address people issues, organisational effectiveness, and/or leadership capabilities
  • Provides trusted, independent counsel to the business as a leader with HR expertise and perspective
  • Partners with and coaches’ the business leadership to facilitate organisation and culture change, acting as a catalyst for building organisational effectiveness
  • Control the HR budget and report on current and future workforce costs and initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving and leading ad hoc projects and deliverables
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all HR areas are integrated to deliver exceptional service to the business that drive consistent strategies, processes and messages
  • Uses knowledge of data, metrics and internal / external trends to provide leaders with insights to inform business decisions

Essential Experience

HRBP partner experience at senior level

HR Operations experience, including HR risk and Governance, benefits, payroll, employee data

Degree in HR or business related.
