Chief Financial Officer  – West Africa

I’m currently recruiting for one of West Africa’s largest FMCG organisations, a company with significant footprint in West Africa for more than 50 years. They produce a variety of products within the FMCG sector and have a turnover of over 1blnUSD.

They are now looking to recruit a CFO, however this is a big job! I’m looking for someone who has experience of working and living in challenging, emerging countries and understands the constant challenges. You will definitely need to understand manufacturing and the FMCG sector. You’ll be working in a matrix structure and will have a number of senior reporting lines and responsibilities. As you would expect, the FX and treasury will be a key function, knowledge in this area would be useful.

Ideally you will have worked for a large Blue Chip FMCG organisation, used to working at the very top level and communicating with shareholders and key stakeholders. There will be constant reporting pressures, you’ll be communicating with governmental departments and external authorities. Economics will be a key feature especially in challenging environments and fluctuating exchange rates, currencies and prices.

My client offers a significant basic salary paid in USD, local living allowance, bonus, car, driver and potential shares.
