Head of Finance (FD Designate) – Niger State, Nigeria

My client is a large agricultural organisation who produce a variety of commodity related products. They currently need a No.1 Head of Finance for their agriculture business located in central Nigeria.

Reporting to the MD of the business and the group CFO based in the HO your role as Head of Finance will be to manage the finance of the business and to oversee the management of several important departments such as IT, Stores, Purchasing and sales in total around 40 people. You’ll be responsible for the internal and external audits, liaising with insurance and other key departments such as the Shared Service.

This position is full-time with a good basic USD salary and local allowance, bonus and accommodation

Duties :

• Directing financial planning and strategy.
• Analysing and reporting on financial performance – Internal reporting, Sugar Council reports, Board of Director reports
• Overseeing external and internal audit functions.
• Ensure group and company accounting policies are implemented and adhered to
• Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
• Training accounting staff.
• Reviewing departmental budgets with GM and Departmental Heads
• Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.
• Prepare and present the various investment appraisals of the business units and contribute to strategic decisions of the Company.
• Manage all accounting and management control aspects of the investment projects undertaken by Sunti and Agri Palm.
• Managing internal controls.
